Ingredients Needed For Sun-up Sandwich
1 teaspoon butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
1 English muffin, split
2 teaspoons apricot or pineapple preserves or orange marmalade
1 slice American cheese (1 ounce)
1 slice Canadian-style bacon (3 inches across) or 1 ounce thinly sliced cooked honey-roasted ham
Glass measuring cup
Hot pads
Fork
Measuring Spoons
Table knife
Microwave-safe plate

Directions To Prepare Sun-up Sandwich
1. Put butter in a glass measuring cup. Microwave on 100% power (high) for 20 to 25 seconds or until butter is melted. Use hot pads to remaove measuring cup from microwave.
2. Crack egg into the measuring cup. Add milk. Beat egg and milk with the fork until mixture is pale yellow and the yolk is completely broken. Microwave on high for 25 seconds. Remove from microwave using hot pads. Stir with fork. Microwave on high for 20 seconds more. Egg should be slightly firm but not runny. Remove from microwave using hot pads.
3. Use knife to carefully separate English muffin into two halves. Spread English muffin with perserves. Top one of the English muffin halves with cooked egg, cheese, and Canadian bacon or ham. Top with the other half of the English muffin. Place sandwich on microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 30 seconds or until cheese melts. Use hot pads to remove from microwave.
