HILL COUNTRY CHICKEN AND RICE

Ingredients Needed For HILL COUNTRY CHICKEN AND RICE

* 1 broiler-fryer, cut into serving pieces
* 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
* 1 teaspoon paprika
* 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
* 1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper
* 1 large, heavy brown paper bag
* 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
*
* Seasoned rice:
* 1 cup uncooked rice
* 1/2 cup sliced green onions
* 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
* 1 4-ounce can sliced Mushrooms, including liquid
* 2 cups chicken broth
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon seasoned pepper

Directions To Prepare HILL COUNTRY CHICKEN AND RICE
=
#Wash and dry Chicken. Combine seasoned salt, paprika, garlic salt and seasoned pepper; sprinkle over Chicken. Rub seamless wide side of bag with oil.
#Arrange Chicken inside bag on greased surface, forming a single layer. Close bag opening, securing with paper clips. Place on foil-lined baking pan and bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Serve with rice.
#Place rice in baking dish. In saucepan, cook onions in butter until soft. Add Mushrooms, broth, salt and seasoned pepper. Heat to boiling. Pour over rice; stir.
#Cover with tight-fitting lid or heavy-duty foil; bake at 375 degrees 25 to 30 minutes.
